How to Adopt
If you are looking for a dog or cat companion for your life, you can start by looking at the animals in foster care with CASA on
the PetFinder.com web site which you can go to by clicking on our link "All Our Pets" to the left. We list all of our animals on this site. If you are interested in meeting one of our animals after seeing them on petfinder, call us or email us and we can arrange a meeting. Or we also have regular adoption days at PetSmart and Petco. We bring a selection of our dogs or cats on pet adoption days so people interested in adopting can meet and interact with our animals. Dog and cat adoption days are advertised in the La Crosse Tribune on the Friday before the Saturday when the event happens. So keep an eye out on our upcoming adoption days!
Once a person has selected an animal, CASA requires an adoption application be completed. We request two non-family references and the name of the veterinarian you have used for your past or current pets. We process the application and get back to the applicant as expeditiously as possible. Our policy is to find the best match, so if there are multiple applications for the same animal, we will choose the best match. You can fill out the application by clicking on the CASA Adoption Application form below and following the directions.
The adoption fee for DOGS is $195 to cover vet costs because we do spays and neuters and vaccinate dogs (and cats) and heart-worm check dogs. Cat adoption fees are $70 for males and $85 for females (since spays cost us more than do neuters).
