Who We Are

We are a group of people who care very much what happens
to homeless companion animals. We are a no-kill, all-volunteer, rescue group in southwestern Wisconsin that takes in abandoned and surrendered animals. CASA also serves as a lost-and-found clearinghouse. There was no provision whatsoever locally for stray animals before we started this rescue group ten years ago.

We have no facility and depend on the generosity of our foster volunteers to provide a temporary, loving home for our animals until a permanent, forever placement is found. We are always looking for more foster volunteers willing to share their homes and their love with animals needing a hand.

We are also concerned about the pet overpopulation problem and are dedicated to spaying and neutering our fostered animals before they go to the new homes.

If you see a dog or cat you would like to meet, please call or e-mail the number or address below and someone will get back to you and can make arrangements to see whichever pet you wish to visit!

PetSmart Adoption Days

We are at PetSmart in Onalaska every third Saturday of the month with a selection of great CASA dogs from noon to 3 pm. Come meet and interact with our dogs. If there is a dog you think would be a good addition to your household, we have an adoption application you can fill out at the adoption day. Cat adoption days are scheduled periodically and we will advertise them in the paper and at this site. Watch for the dates!
